Testing again

If I want to share a You Tube video, will it show and post? testing, testing,....
There was a lovely breeze and a not too hot morning when I was at the Convent. The wifi in one building had gone out, so I sat on the porch at Bethanna to use the wifi there until I could get hold of Faith the reconnect me. The wind in the daisies made a wonderful moment to pause and reflect on the goodness all around me.

Summer morning on the porch at Bethanna.

More Hind's Feet

Hannah Hurnard wrote:

"Many a quiet, ordinary, and hidden life, unknown to the world, is a veritable garden in which Love's flowers and fruits have come to such perfection that it is a place of delight where the King of Love Himself walks and rejoices with His friends. Some of my servants have indeed won great visible victories and are rightly loved and reverenced by other men, but always their greatest victories are like the wild flowers, those which no one know about. Learn this lesson now, down here in the valley, Much-Afraid, and when you get to the steep places of the mountains it will comfort you."

When you are in the deep valley and feeling as if no one can see your struggles, remember that the Good Shepherd does not miss a single part of your struggle. He will stay with you as love's 'flowers and fruits come to perfection.'

So, if you change accounts

If you change accounts and passwords and spend over an hour with Apple Care you still might get a message from iCloud and the iTunes Store. Eventually, it all gets straightened out and you can relax, with watchfulness. Go back to what you were trying to do and DONT OPEN any suspicious anything even if it comes from your BFF.

Wow! Have I learned a lesson!

Just Sitting

Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:

"In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it."
Oh Lord, Help us to obey and not be the ones who "would have none of it."

Isaiah 32:17 The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;
its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

Wildflowers in Wilderness

Been re-reading one of my all time favorite books, Hind's Feet on High Places. This passage reminded me so of our trip the mountains. One day Bob went on a hike without me, further than I could travel.. He came across vast expanses of wild flowers.

"Sometimes the Shepherd and Much-Afraid walked over patches of thousands of tiny little pink or mauve blossoms, each minutely small and yet all together forming a brilliant carpet, far richer than any seen in a king's palace.
"Once the Shepherd stooped and touched the flowers gently with his fingers, then said to Much-Afraid with a smile, "Humble yourself, and you will find that Love is spreading a carpet of flowers beneath your feet."

"Much-Afraid looked at him earnestly. "I have often wondered about the wild flowers," she said. "It does seem strange that such unnumbered multitudes should bloom in the wild places of the earth where perhaps nobody ever sees them and the goats and the cattle can walk over them and crush them to death. They have so much beauty and sweetness to give and no one on whom to lavish it, nor who will even appreciate it."

"The look the Shepherd turned on her was very beautiful. "Nothing my Father and I have made is ever wasted," he said quietly, "and the little wild flowers have a wonderful lesson to teach. They offer themselves so sweetly and confidently and willingly, even if it seems that there is no one to appreciate them. Just as though they sang a joyous little song ot themselves, that it is so happy to love, even though one is not loved in return.
"I must tell you a great truth, Much-Afraid, which only the few understand. All the fairest beauties in the human soul, its greatest victories, and its most splendid achievements are always those which no one else knows anything about, or can only dimly guess at. Every inner response of the human heart to Love and every conquest over self-love is a new flower on the tree of Love."

Electronic Warfare

This has been a difficult month with electronic warfare extending even into our Direct Tv account. We have had to stay cheerful and not let discouragement swamp and overwhelm us! Hopefully, this has all been worth it?
The swampy land after summer storms has been like our experience of late.
Looking forward to this less humid weather and drying up the mess!

Going to "Eat Dirt" at the dirt race track with Em and the girls tonight. Wonder if "Weasel Roads" will be there again?

It's a hoot.

Using new Blogsy and Blogger

Lord, I write this for myself and try to use it to Your glory.
Help me make this work, I pray.
